Has anyone seen the exhibit "From Abraham to Jesus?" It will soon be in a city near us, and it seems like it would be a great field trip to go along with Year 1. I was wondering if anyone could review it for me.

Thank you in advance,

I'm so glad you brought this up. I've also wondered whether it would be worth making the effort to go see. We didn't make it to the Atlanta showing, but it will be in Charleston and Charlotte next spring, both of which would be doable for us. The website makes it look like it's well done, but it's hard to tell much about anything from a website, so I would also love to hear from anyone who has actually been.

We went this fall in Atlanta and LOVED it. My year old liked it for about an hour, but my 9 year old was absolutely mesmerized, took about twice as long as the rest of the kids to go through it, read every word, listened to every section on the guide and begged to go back! It was very peaceful and I would have liked to go back alone and just walk through and meditate on it. It was absolutely worth it. They have a really neat marketplace set up where they sell foods from Israel and beautiful art. It was wonderful, and they gave our group a good discount. I seem to remember that you could go back and visit again with your ticket if you asked them.

I tried to find out more about this, and found their website, but it says this:

"The From Abraham to Jesus exhibit has exchanged hands and will no longer be touring. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused."

Here is a website where the exhibit is actually being held...you Texas girls are lucky! I read on a blog that the unpacking and traveling were damaging the items.
