I see in my redesign (1st printing) that the book "Story of Philosophy" is recommended for Dialectic students. When I went to the website to order it, it states that in subsequent printings of redesign, that book will supplement the Rhetoric book.

Did everyone find the book too difficult for a Dialectic student?

For a dialectic student who is particularly interested in philosophy, I'd say it would work just fine. However, it works best in conjunction with the Pageant of Philosophy, which is for rhetoric students.
