I wanted to let you all know about a new Tapestry of Grace group that I have started on The Homeschool Lounge. Tapesty users already have plenty of resources available to them like the Tapestry Forum and Yahoo email groups, but please allow me to share with you why I think having a TOG group on The Homeschool Lounge may be beneficial to TOG users.
The Homeschool Lounge is a free online community exclusively for homeschool moms. Site Features include:
• Create your own personalized space, (link to your blog, upload photos, etc.)
• Start or join discussions (I find this easier to follow than several emails interspersed with other topics) Video and photos, and widgets can also be imbedded into your posts so the information you need is right where you need it instead of in a general files section.
• Join several groups and have all your support and encouragement in one place (Some groups available are scheduling/organization, lapbooks, buy/sell, high school, special needs, recipes – something for everyone)
• Promote an existing Blog
• Photo and video galleries
• Live Chat
• Upload Unit studies, Forms, Lessons and more!
• Members only community ~ All members, all videos and pictures must be approved and only the front page of our site can be viewed by the public for the safety and comfort of our homeschool moms.
I see it as a place where Tapestry moms can gather to discuss TOG like we do on the forum and yahoo groups but with the added benefits of
- easily following threads
- easily sharing photos files, ideas
- supporting and encouraging one another,
- sharing with those interested in learning more about TOG,
- and even chatting
all in one easy to use format.

I have created two Tapestry groups:
Tapestry Users (a general TOG group) –

for users of the Tapestry of Grace curriculum. Our goal is to share ideas, encouragement, wisdom and fellowship. This group is also open to those interested in Tapestry.
Tapestry Year 1 -

for those currently using Year 1 of the Tapestry of Grace curriculum. We hope to share encouragement, ideas and resources, and provide a platform for general Tapestry discussions, questions, links, discussions on specific books, supplements, and tools used in Year 1.

My hope is that eventually we can have groups for Year 2, 3, & 4 as other TOGers are willing to start those. I hope you will join me over at The Homeschool Lounge and I thank you for letting me share with you about this wonderful new homeschool support site.
