We are WTMers new to TOG, just starting Year one for 5th grader (mostly) and 3rd grader. I'm just trying to figure out how to do the recommendations in WTM and Tog simultaneously, or figure out how to blend the two. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I guess what I would do is use TOG for history, literature, geo, and everything that they include, while I would use Well Trained Mind suggestions for other subjects like grammar, science, math, etc.

I would however, look over some of the resources and ideas found in WTM and consider whether to switch out some of those with TOG resources. So if they like book X then I might use that instead of book Y, but I'd assess the amount of work that it would take to substitute and what I might lose in terms of matching up TOG questions and answers, etc. So things like hands on activities could be easily switched in.
