In the Loom Document "Using Tapestry's Rhetoric-Level Literature" on page 26 there is a chart with recommendations for grading if one is using both Evaluations and Writing Aids...which we are.

Where do I find the Unit Exams for Literature? Will they be posted on the Evaluations online page in the future?

Also, I am not sure about the papers listed. How do I know which writing assignment is the personal response paper or the literary analysis paper for poetry? Will the writing assignments found in my year plan say that? I have not found any of these papers in unit one of year two. At least not that I know of.

Am I to assign her a literary analysis paper? Perhaps it is assigned in elsewhere in the weekly assignments rather than in the red-coded writing assignments?

Thanks!

ok...in reading more through the forum I found where the assignments are for the literary papers...in the week ahead glance portion. I have not gotten to week seven so I did not see it and although I read through the loom doc I did not catch this.

So my question now is on the evaluations. Will the evaluations for literature be posted in the future?

Thanks!

Hi Lisa! Yes, the evaluations for literature will be posted on Evaluations in the future. Because we are writing them as we go, these R-level literature unit exams will unfortunately not always be available as eary as we could wish for your sake, but you will have them at least two weeks in advance of the time when you need to administer them to your student(s), so that you can review material and "teach to the test" in that way. :-) Thank you for your patience!

Also, in reading your question about where to find papers, I thought it might be helpful to you and other moms if I put an extra column in the chart in Appendix D of "Using Tapestry's Rhetoric Level Literature," which will show where the optional papers and the exams fall, and also give some idea of which ones are needed for which credits (English or Literature) and which Glances to check. That's being re-posted as we speak, so if you check later today you should find it. I hope the new column on that chart will be of service!
