In the new Loom document about teaching rhetoric level literature, there is reference to unit exams for literature. Do I understand this properly - there will be unit exams specifically for literature, separate from history unit exams? On the Evaluations site, I don't notice any indication that there is anything special happening at the end of the unit, so I just wanted to clarify. Are the Week 10 quizzes weekly quizzes, or unit exams, or both?

Also, if there are going to be unit exams, at what point will they be released? It would be nice to be able to see them early in the unit, so that we can see them as we are deciding what to focus on during our teaching.

Thanks so much!

Beth

Hi Beth,
The year one evaluations has separate history and literature exams and I'm guessing year 2 will as well.

Hi Beth! Yes, there are rhetoric level unit exams specifically for Literature that are part of the evaluations package but are also separate from the history exams. Because we are writing them as we go, these R-level literature unit exams will unfortunately not always be available as eary as we could wish for your sake, but you will have them at least two weeks in advance of the time when you need to administer them to your student(s), so that you can review material and "teach to the test" in that way. :-) Thank you for your patience as we continue to develop these materials!
