I'm about to order my UG books for year 2. I was wondering if some people could tell me their favorite "must haves" so I can use my small budget wisely :-)

Hi Ann,
My UG student is a boy, so that may 'color' our favorites!! We are only 1/2 done with our Y2, but I will tell you what our favorites have been up to the mid point.
King Arthur and the Knight of the Round Table
Leif the Lucky
Castle
Robin Hood
The Door in the Wall
Ship
Mr. Pipes & Psalm & Hymns of the Reformation

By far, his absolute favorite was Mr. Pipes! He loved this so much that when he found out the author was going to be at our homeschool conference he insisted that we HAD to go see him! Douglas Bond is a VERY nice man and he graciously signed all my UG boy's books. We bought ALL the rest of the Mr. Pipes series and his series on the Scottish Covenanting History. Once we got home from the conference, we then sat down and read the rest of the Mr. Pipes series, it is WONDERFUL!! I did read these out loud, I love the 'couch time'! He then would grab them and read them over again himself.
Blessings,
~Evelyn Mae
