Just a heads-up for parents of UG children in weeks 2-4 of Year 2. While the infidelity of Guinevere with Lancelot is handled fairly discreetly in this selection, it is included. And when they are caught and Guinevere is about to be executed, she "refused to show any shame or regret, for she knew she had done nothing wrong." (around p. 112) An opportunity to point out to our youngsters an ungodly worldview in literature, even in a good story.

And there is alot of violence. Cutting heads off and that type thing. Just a heads up. My sensitive 3rd grade girl didn't love it but the wonderment of who might be getting married (I think she missed the fact the gal already was married!) kept her in suspense.

Looking back, we'd have skipped this version with my little girlie!
