Hello!
I am in the process of finding books for our second go-round through Year 2. I don't have the exact book of Arabian Nights for my D student, but I can get ahold of several other juvenile versions at the library (and I have one on my shelf). I just need to know what particular "Tales" are read for Week 2 and for Week 3.

The SAP answers for Week 2 talk about "The Fisherman and the Jinnee" and "The Tale of King Yunan and Duban the Doctor", while Week 4 says "Aladdin and the Magical Lamp" -- are these all the Tales that are read? Would someone mind listing the actual Tales included in the listed page numbers for Dialectic for those weeks?

I could be wrong, but I think giving you the table of contents might be a copyright violation.

However, the publisher does allow Amazon to do a look inside the book so you can go over to Amazon and check it out there.

Are you using Classic or Redesign? I am just starting to put my stuff together for next year but I can not find any specific Tales listed for week two in either my Classic or Redesign versions. In fact the Classic says that any version will work.

The SAP for week two is character analysis so choosing characters from any one of the Tales would be fine, as long as they identify the pages where they got the particular character trait for you to verify.

In week 3 of Redesign the questions appear to be primarily about "Aladdin and the Enchanted Lamp", so you may want to require that one.

If you have identified a couple of other stories (as Pat says you can see the table of contents on Amazon.com) then I would think that would be sufficient or you could probably choose any of the Tales you wanted. Two or three would be enough for your student to get a taste for the literature; more would simply be for pleasure.

I have Classic paper version and Redesign DE! The Table of Contents tip was just perfect! Looks like Aladdin is the only tale for Week 3 and I've got the names of the others that are read on Week 2 now.

I only wanted to be sure because we are in a co-op where the D kids have a lit discussion class. I wanted to be sure we had a close enough match on some of the tales.
