Hi everyone -
I just needed some clarification for dd. We spent some time looking at the WW1 maps, inlcuding the supplement. She added all of the major battles/fronts to her blank map quite easily with the exception of "War in Africa" and "War in Far East." I don't see anything nearly that specific, although perhaps some of the other labels could be construed as falling in those categories. The answer map does not address these two categories at all. Any WW1 guru out there have any answers? We are not WW1 scholars and are very much relying on the info in the week plans for help right now.
Thanks,
Deb

Hi Deb,
The point with those two is to notice how far the war extended. The resource book has a couple of maps that show this...notice particularly the maps on p. 91 and 92.

Hope this helps!

Dear Dana,
Thanks so much for your always timely reply - we did just what you said about pointing out the vastness of the war. We're substituting the WW1 resource book, so we didn't have those maps.....a disadvantage of substituting, but I already had a couple of WW1 resource books.

I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something (obviously I was a little!). DD has learned to do such a great job finding places on her maps and she seemed frustrated. I will work on some patience for both of us.

Thanks again.
Deb
