Does any one have a list of the topics covered by the readings given in the Lower Grammar History Core? I have the Usborne Medieval World by Jane Bingham but it is not the Internet version. I am afraid that the page numbers given do not line up.

For example the pages listed for week one (Redesign, 1st printing) are 3, 6, 16, 76-77. In my book the topics would be :
page 3 - When? Where? How?
page 6 - The Barbarian Kingdoms
page 16 - first page of a two page spread on Anglo-Saxon England
pages 76 - 77 - The People of the Pacific

Those last two just don't sound right to me. It would be a big help if some one has this information. I checked Amazon.com to see if the Table of Contents was available, but didn't see it. I know others have said just buy the editions listed but I can't justify buying a new edition of a book I've used with my older children for the last child to use just so he can "do Tapestry" with the others.

Hi Sharon!

I was searching on here for the answer to this myself. Smiler I'm in the same boat...our youngest is doing LG this year and I have Medieval World by Jane Bingham from the last time through this year plan. I did find on the Amazon site that the new Internet Linked edition has the same # of pages...96 pages, as the edition we have. I haven't taken the time to go through all of Year 2, but I have looked at the pages listed for Unit 1. They seem to dovetail with what we are studying. (My Year 2 is 2nd printing and it doesn't list pages 76-77 for week 1.) If in doubt I look at the people and timeline on the overview pages.

Hope this helps some! Maybe someone "in the know" will see this and be able to lend a hand.

God Bless,

Ronda,

Thanks so much. I feel kind of ditsy. Just a few days ago I realized I have the pages in my Classic edition, which I used 4 years ago. I dug that out and I think I can fly with it. The weeks don't match perfectly (I think weeks 4 & 5 are switch around) but it will work.

Thanks again.
