Couple of questions!

1. I just purchased Year 4 Unit 1, and have gone through the Loom to look at the Primary Resource list for dialectic and rhetoric.

All I see listed is the one spine for dialectic ( Idiot's) and all the rest listed are books used throughout the four years, such as Our Island Story.

Is this list not completed yet, and if not, when will it be ready?

2. About the dialectic book Idiot's Guide to 20th Century: The Loom's (short) booklist has it listed with the author Eva Tappan. Bookshelf Central has the author of Alan Axelrod. But the official Idiot's website doesn't list it at all, and Amazon only has used copies for sale. Is this book already out of print before we even begin, making it very difficult to get a copy at all?

Hi Gaye,
The Y4 U1 list is completed, but there is a glitch in the software. Click on Year 4, then "all" (not unit 1), then the bottom upper grammar or dialectic (not the top ones), then the subject(s).

The Idiot's Guide was written by Axelrod (typo on the Lampstand Press website they they know about and will fix). Yes, it's officially out-of-print, but we had it reprinted and are the sole distributors of that particular title. Thus, the only place you can get it new is from Bookshelf Central.

If you don't want the Idiot's Guide (that we sell at Bookshelf Central), you probably could use the textbooks listed in the textbook row of the alternates.
