Hi,
I have the 1st edition of Year 2 Redesign and I can't access any of the literature helps, I get an error message that states; "Firefox can't find the file at /Volumes/080808_1647/pdfs/<whatever the document is named>.pdf." I get that for all 16 links. Have they been moved? How can I access them?
Thank you,
Karen

I am also having this exact problem with the literature helps. I get the same error message. I asked for a new Loom cd to be sent to me thinking that mine was defective, but it is exactly the same as the first one.

Thanks for you help.

I have my Loom cd in, and when I click on the Loom reading assignments, it says, "IE cannot open this page." ?

Karen, what you posted looks so different than my loom disc that I am now more confused than ever. I'll have to take time later when I am at home with the Loom disc in front of me to compare.

Meanwhile, I discovered late last night that I also had error messages for the part of the Loom that includes corrections and errata. I wonder how many other errors messages I will find as I work along?

I'm discouraged because it doesn't seem to be only the Rhetoric lit. section of the Loom, but other ones keep cropping up. I am discouraged to sit down and try to accomplish a task, then to find out that the disc is missing what I need to do the task.

Just another reason why I am questioning my judgment doing Yr 2 with a Rhetoric student for my first year of TOG!

Is there any other solution? And is this problem related to my using a Mac?

Hi, Karen and Ronda.

Short answer: We checked a CD at the Customer Service department and the links worked. We're sending each of you a replacement CD which is a copy of that CD.

Very long answerBig Grin: I checked the source code (from which the CD's are created) and the programming all makes sense. The reference that Karen mentions in her post is one directory too high. It looks like it should be in /Volumes/080808_1647/config/pdfs/<whatever the document is named>.pdf

Thanks for your patience.

gardenschooler,

I've been working on this issue since I started the morning and replied to the first two posts before I noticed that you'd posted. Customer Service is sending out a CD to you, also.

Wow, Ray, thanks for working so hard to figure out what was happening. Although not surprised, I am very thankful to know that you will stand behind the products and make sure they are working. This is esp. helpful to me as a first timer with TOG, with 3 levels in Yr. 2, including rhetoric. The learning curve is sharp this year, and I appreciate the support from TOG. I know next year things will not seem as difficult. :-)

Thanks again,

Hi Ray. It's been 2 weeks and I haven't received my disk. Should I call?
