I just purchased Easy Grammar 3/4 for my 3rd grader, but now I'm noticing that it's the old version. How much trouble will it be to switch to the new version in 4th grade? Was this a total revamp of the curriculum or just a cosmetic fix?

I'd also like to know if the Daily Grams are required/recommended or if they are just for extra review.

Thanks,
Jodi

In my experience, Daily Grams are just extra, I've never done them since I use Easy Grammar. The old Easy Grammars are the same as the new ones. The old books had two grade levels in them, like 2/3, 4/5. I am using these this year. I looked at the new versions and they were basically the same, just that each book is its own individual grade.Hope this helped.

I would like to add that in the new books, the student versions don't have the tests in them. The grade 4 book is identical to what used to be the silver book (4/5) with the exception of the missing tests, which you'll have to take from the teacher's edition, and they've also added a section in the back on writing sentences.
