I buy the majority of hs material used, including TOG, so some of the questions were awkward to answer.

I bought my first year plan around May of 2007, started it this summer, loved it and bought a used Year 3 by July (TOG just fit). Because we will skip year 4, I am planning on buying a redesign year 1 (the first one I plan to buy from The Bookshelf) before the prices go up.

Thanks for working around that issue. I guess we most need to focus on serving folks from here, but I'm glad you can use a pre-loved copy of TOG, and thanks for taking time to do the survey!

Hi Marcia,

I had a little trouble with question 1 because there wasn't an answer for my situation. I bought my first 2 units of Year 3 in the spring of 2004. I answered in 2005 on the survey because I didn't know about TOG before 2004. Additionally, I bought Year 4 in 2004 and used it for the 2004-05 school year. Is there a way that you can go back and add In 2004?

No; I can't amend the survey without losing the votes we've tabulated, but thanks for clarifying!

I had difficulty answering the question about the level of involvement with TOG. I have only purchased once but I am planning to continue using it. I purchased Year 2 redesigned but am only using Units 1 & 2 this year because I found out about it and started using it after we had finished our first quarter. Then we will use Units 3 & 4 next year. I plan to use Year 3 the year after that.

I also was not sure how to answer the question about how many children I homeschool. I am currently homeschooling three but have three that have graduated; one currently in college and the other two have graduated from college. The next few questions may have been to clarify but it might have been helpful to ask how many we currently homeschool.

Thanks, Vivian

I have the same issue as Vivian. I made my first purchase this year and am currently using Year 2. So bought once and never returned would be the correct choice I guess, since I have only made one purchase, but isn't really an accurate picture of my situation.

Hi Marcia
I too had difficulty with the purchaser question - I put that I was a steady TOG customer as I do intend to be....but so far have only purchased one yearplan and some books. I also purchased in 2008, but as there isn't a 2008 category I put 2007. Close enough!

I found your question about how many children we plan to homeschool rather humorous. Currently, I have 4 children so that is my answer, but someday, that could turn into 6 or more since there seems to be a new baby around here about every 2 years.

I just took the poll and put 2007 for the year in #1 because there was no 2008 choice. I bought my Year 2 Redesign just before the price increase.

I am a steady purchaser...but I do utilize the library for maybe half the books. I did buy the maps, the assessments, the dad audios and lapbook cd for 1st unit. This is my first year using, so far I am purchasing books one unit at a time to figure out what I like, what I need.

One special needs kid- an auditory processing disorder.
