I'm trying to put together a list of books I need to purchase and can't seem to find what weeks (or how many) The Poetry Anthology is used. I see some poetry assignments listed here and there for my R students, but they are on the Loom. What I need to know is, is this a book that will be used throughout the year and therefore, is it something I should purchase?

I also need to decide if I should buy this book. I already have several poetry anthologies which have these poems in them. Are there special features in this book that will be invaluable? Thanks!

I bought the Poetry Anthology when I saw it listed on The Bookshelf as being used in Y4 U1. However, I don't see it listed in my DE Primary Resources list. Is it going to be used for Y4?

I was wondering this as well, but I found that it is used in part of the poetry selections in weeks 3 and 7. If you look at the rhetoric SAP's for those weeks, you'll find lists of poems from a variety of locations. I'm guessing that if you can find those poems elsewhere it would work just as well, but maybe someone else can better answer that. I'm also guessing there will be other poetry weeks throughout the year that may use this book? - but again don't know for sure?

I'm bumping this up because it looks like a lot of us are of the same question. I ordered The Poetry Anthology from the Bookshelf but it is on backorder. I was wondering how soon I would need it and if I should cancel with the Bookshelf and just order it through Barnes and Noble who can get it to me really quick. I looked in the reading assignment pages but I can't find it anywhere either. When, specifically, is this needed? Thanks!

It is used for sure in Weeks 3 and 7, but as someone else said, you ought to be able to find them all on the internet fairly easily.
