Hi Iwona! I'm afraid you can't "count on" anything for U3 and U4, because we all know how God loves to re-arrange our human plans. ;-) However, I can say that from the beginning of our Year 4 planning it has been our hopeful intention to include selections from both Tolkien and Lewis, and that currently we are looking at doing one of the Chronicles of Narnia books for Dialectic students, and doing The Hobbit for Rhetoric students, either in U3 or U4.

The Hobbit, besides being the very first book in the emerging Fantasy genre (though that isn't quite what Tolkien intended), echoes Beowulf in many ways and is so rich that we thought it deserved a three-week study at the Rhetoric thinking level. Of course, this doesn't mean that you couldn't have your Dialectic student do the study---it just means that you would have to pick and choose whatever tidbits from the Rhetoric class plans you might want to give him.

Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have more questions about it. :-)
