I purchased a used copy of the Year 1 Evalutaions. The seller said she bought it last year and the disk is copyright 2007. The vocabulary on the disk doesn't match what's in my curriculum. Is there a newer version?

Hi,
Are you using a Classic Year 1 by chance? (If you are using a Classic Year-Plan with Evaluations, then no, the vocab will not necessarily match up.) If not, can you give me an example from a particular week and I'll be glad to look it up. Dana C. in TN "Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!" Deut. 32:2-4 |

I'm using Year 1 Unit 4 DE, purchased about 3 months ago. We are currently in week 30. I have one LG and one UG student.
The curriculum lists these words for LG: legion, tribune, pension, recruit, armor, tunic, javelin, standard, aquila, auxiliary while the glossary has: aquaduct, century, cohort, fortress, legion, standard, tribune, and triumph. For UG, the curriculum lists: centurion, rampart, barrack, magistrate, armistice, and embassy. The glossary has: delegation, fatigue, hideous, and somber. I've glanced at other weeks and see the same discrepancies. |

Hi,
Thanks for taking the trouble to type in that example. I'm not really sure why the words you see are different, but obviously they need to be corrected. Unfortunately we just have several other irons in the fire at the moment that are time-sensitive, but I'll definitely put it on the to-do list. Meanwhile, I'd suggest going with what's in the glossary if it will save you time. If it doesn't matter, go with the ones in the year-plan. SO sorry about that! But again, I do thank you for letting us know! Dana C. in TN "Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants. I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!" Deut. 32:2-4 |
