I really want to teach my R-level kids to highlight, underline, write in margins, etc. How have you handled that with shared resources? My 2 R boys and I will all be reading the same books (when I read them; for example, we're sharing "Words of Delight" right now). If I read ahead and underline, will I be doing them a disservice? Should I leave the marking for them? And then, would it be helpful for them to use different color pens/highlighters from each other? When my husband and I read the same book I like to use a different color so I can go back and find things that were meaningful to me and/or him. Suggestions?
Thanks, Bonnie |

How about using Sticky notes? I know Highlighting would be a lot easier. Just a suggestion
