When I use the different ways of searching for needed resources on the Bookshelf, I get different results. I just want to make sure I'm finding everything I'm going to need. For example, first I used the search feature across the top in which I check a box next to the year, then the unit, then the level, then the subject. I chose Y2, MU, D, history, and got a whole list of books. When I looked at some descriptions, it wouldn't take me back to that search result, so I used the search method along the left margin, for which I clicked on the various options (same options as above, but accessed on the left of the page instead of the drop-down menus at the top). With the same choices, the search result contained only 4 or 5 books (instead of the approx. 12 that I had gotten with the first method). Sorry for the long explanation. Can someone tell me the most thorough means of searching for necessary resources? (I know the MOST thorough will be to have the year-plan; I'm waiting for the Beta of year 2, since I currently own classic, and in the meantime I'm trying to figure out what I'll need to order new, and how it compares to what I already own from our last trip through year 2).
Thanks.
Bonnie

Hi Bonnie,
I'm guessing that your computer cached an old version of our website. A couple of weeks ago we had it fixed so that you could click on a book description and then click the back button so that you could go back to the list of books you searched for. So, refresh your page, please, and try again.

I'll have our web designer check into why it's still not working properly from the left search engine.

Please feel free to email me if it still doesn't work after you refresh.

Blessings,

Hello Dana,
Well, now I can go back to my search result after reading a description of a resource - wonderful improvement. But I'm still getting very different results from the search at the top and the search on the left, and the problem is, they don't even overlap! I'm choosing multi-unit; when chosen along the top, I get 9 books (marked at the bottom of the description as eg. Year: Y1, Y2 Unit: MU ...) When I choose along the left side, I get 4 books, none of them the same as the other list, (marked along the bottom eg. Year: Y2, Unit: U1, U2) Maybe the problem is that I'm choosing multi-unit? One of the lists is giving me all multi-year books, the other is giving me single-year but multi-unit. Does that make sense?

Hi Bonnie,
Yes, the two search engines have some differences. Whereas you can specifically designate "multi-year" and "multi-unit" on the left search engine, the one with the drop down menus across the top lump both multi-year and multi-unit together.

Hope this helps!
