HELP....I have been using classic curriculum for the past three years so this will be my first year with the revised curriculum. Does anyone know where I can print up a list of the books for each level to take with me to my homeschool conference on Thursday? I am used to having the entire years worth of books along with those wonderful reviews of each resource and the ISBN that the classic curriculum offered. Now I only find pdf files on the loom with lists of alternate books. Where is the list of primary books used? I know that Bookshelf central allows for custom making lists but i don't want to print out pictures of each title on pages and pages of paper!!! I am guessing there is some concise way to see a list of resources and the frequency of their use which can help me decide what to buy...
Thanks!!!

Hi Michelle,

you can click on "Store" above, and look near the top of the screen for the link to "Resource List." You'll have to sign in (or create) an account, then you can make a resource list for each unit/level. It's a great tool!

have fun shopping :-)

Thank you for answering this question so quickly - this is just what I was looking for!
Wish they had reviews next to each book like they did in classic but I know that takes more time...
Thanks again.

well, hey! You can get reviews too!

For those, go to Dana's site, www.bookshelfcentral.com You can pull up a list of books for each group there, too, and she's got a short description of the books and usually a blurb about how it's used in TOG.

Dana's booklist has more info, but TOG's booklist is more printable for carrying around to bookfairs, etc.

For anyone reading this thread: we DO include the descriptions, but only for TOG users. Our Resource List has two parts. The "public" section of our Resource List is for those who make a free account at the TOG store, but haven't yet purchased. We want to give such folks a good idea of the books we use.

The "user" information is still being added, and contains copyright protected information that is useful to moms. What happens is, if you've bought Tapestry through this new Lampstand Store, you can see descriptions (currently) and will soon see the actual weeks used, plus extra information within the descriptions such as budget-conscious combination ideas (found also in your Glance Ahead at the end of each week-plan) and actual weeks used (so that week by week, user moms can actually sort by weeks used and by level to see if they have all the books they'll need for the week ahead!

As Jana said above, for now you can view descriptions if you go to BC to view Dana's search engine/book listings there. Our Resource List is still in the building phase, but we think it will be a marvelous tool for both shoppers and users when we get it all done! Smiler

Marcia

Marcia,

I just want to thank you once again for taking customer support so far beyond our expectations. The resource lists are such a great tool. I am thrilled to have them back and excited about all the new features you will be adding. Thank you for your desire to serve the homeschool community so generously. We are so grateful for all the many ways you help us and encourage us along the way.

Blessings,
Eia

Thank you for getting the resource booklist up for Y4U1. However, I noticed that the Read Aloud books weren't listed. We have a used curriculum sale coming up in 2 weeks, and I hope to be able to purchase some of what I need there. When do you anticipate having the alternate booklists available on the Loom?
Blessings to you all as you prepare for Y4. We appreciate the wonderful curriculum Smiler
In His service,
Debra

Can you clarify what it means to have bought Tapestry through this new Lampstand Store? I have bought year one through three through your store in the past few years including being one of the "450" for the print copies. Will I be able to see complete descriptions?

If no, will you consider grandfathering those of us who have bought through you in the past?

I was wondering this too. I am a several-year customer, and bought DE via the phone using the half-off coupon rather than through the website. Will the website recognize me as having legally purchased the program, thus giving me access to the restricted info?

Yes, we do have a plan for grandfathering in those who bought their curriculum in past years. It will take some time, though. We only realized AFTER Dana changed her search engine at Bookshelf Central that we needed to make our own version to better serve TOG customers. As you may imagine, there are growing pains as the two now-separated companies do what is best for THEIR customers. We very much work in partnership, but we also have different foci. SO, that said, we are working along at first populating the Resource List properly and making sure that those who have current accounts at Lampstand Press Store have access to the right information. As we work our way through this month (and maybe into next month, too) we'll be able to manually add back in customers who purchased before the new store went up. It would serve us if you could be patient and use the Bookshelf Central descriptions for now; all other data is public and mounted where everyone--new and old customers--can print off what they need for purchase lists. Those of you who have printed copies can also see the books in context of the actual weekly charts, which (frankly) is the best place to look at them in order to make buying decisions.

TIA for your patience in this! We're working as hard as we can on your behalf.

Blessings,
Marcia

Thanks Marcia! That is great news.

I will endeavor to restrain myself in my enthusiasm for all things involving book lists. Wink
