We celebrated a fantastic Medieval Feast last night with about 40 people attending. It was a huge success- everyone came in proper attire. We dined on beef tongue, venison, greens, soups, dark bread, tinker cakes, mince meat pies and mulled cider. The displays and presentations on various aspects of Medieval times were outstanding. Everyone did such a wonderful job in making this a reality.
A huge thanks to the entire TOG staff and various posters here on this board- we couldn't have pulled this off without you!

Here are some pictures:

Verena,
I loved the pics from your feast. I was trying to get a better view of the costumes the boys wore. Do you have a pic of the boys without their shields? Or could you explain the costumes? I am assuming, perhaps incorrectly, that you made them. We are preparing for our feast in Nov.
Thanks,
Anna

Hello Anna,

I'm beyond embarrassed to be so late in responding to your question! I am so sorry- I just now saw your post. I hardly have time for message boards anymore- so unfortunately your question went unanswered for way too long. Please forgive!

I've uploaded a picture of my boys to the site where the other Medieval Feast pictures are (it's the first pic).
You can see their costumes a bit better.

For "costume inspiration", I consulted this site:

http://fantashion.de/fantashio...a0792640fa8472df1cb5

The boys' outfit was just a basic tunic.
I didn't even do a pattern- just kinda guesstimated general length and where those diagonal stripes should go :-).

I wish you the best in preparing for the Feast. It was one of our highlights last year (lots of work, too, LOL!)

Blessings,
Verena
