I will be starting Tapestry next year. Do I need to buy a language arts curriculum in addition to Writing Aids? Looking at the online samples it seems to cover the same things that we are covering in our current LA program.

Well it depends on what you want from a language arts program.

Writing Aids really does just writing. You might wish to have grammar, spelling, vocabulary, or handwriting component as well.

Oh, I thought that grammar was part of Writing Aids. When I was looking at the free sample I saw how first grade was making a noun bank, which is something that they do in our current LA program. They do it later than the first week in what we are currently doing. Maybe I should just hold off making a decision until I have gotten a chance to look more thoroughly at Tapestry. Thanks!!
