On page 168 of Writing Aids it states that there are sample "self-proofing" charts available on the WA Disc. These charts are not on my WA Disc. I found this question posted on an earlier thread and the mom was told to go to the Writing Aids page. I can't find this page, or the "self-proofing" charts. Can anyone help me?
Thanks,
Leanna

Dear Leana,

Here is the link for the sample.
It is found from the home page "Lampstandpress.com"; choose "Our Products"; choose Writing Aides Sample; choosing "Steps in the Writing Process". It is at the top of that list in the steps.

Blessings. Susie

I was looking for this too. I was thinking it is a "self-proofing chart" to attach to their rough draft not a "Proofing Marks" sheet.

Hi Deb and Leanna,
Just a quick thought - perhaps you could go over the grading rubric with your kiddos before the assignment, so they know what is expected. If you are looking for sentence variety or some other specific skill not listed, you could easitly add it to the rubric or make a separate list for your students to check before turning in work. In the older grades, going over rubrics works well, in my opinion. Happy writing!
Blessings,
April

Hi there,
The self-proofing explanation is on the online Writing Aids under "Steps in the Writing Process."

like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
I will proclaim the name of the Lord.
Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"
