I bought recommended Daily Grams and I will probably use Easy Grammar 5 for my UP/D 5th grader. We've done some Ch. Mason style grammar before and 2 years of Write Source books.

Question:
Do you do the Grammar lessons every day using both books? There is so many lessons there, it seems that it needs to be used every day... in order to finish it...

I though that it would be good to do just 2 grammar lessons per week and use Daily Grams every day, but I am confused now...

Thank You.

I am confused about the same thing and would love advice also. The 6th grade book has so much and goes into such detail that I don't know if we would finish in a school year. I really like easy grammar but it just seems like too much. I really think the 3rd grade book is more doable. We are going to do daily grams every day.

Hi,
The Easy Grammar usually has many practice pages for each topic; you don't have to assign them all if your student has grasped the lesson. That said, my experience with the 6th grade levelwas that we comfortably finished the book doing grammar 4 days a week. I'm finding the 5th grade book longer and we're working on it 5 days a week. My kids also do the Daily Grams at a separate time each day, but those are very short.

Thank you so much for your help. If you don't mind me asking, about how long are your lessons every day? I was hoping to spend 30 min 3 days a week.
