It appears this book is out of print (I'm seeing it for $60+ on Amazon and Abe Books), and none of the libraries that I have access to have it. What would be a good substitute? We are going to try to complete a half credit of Art History this year.
Thanks,
Christy

FYI for those who may start looking for the recommended book that I asked about in my original post.
I ended up going to Half Price Books, where I found a Copy of The Usborne Introduction to Art. I got it because in each chapter it points out the art elements and talks about evaluating and looking at art. And I found an art history textbook called Gardner's Art through the Ages. I chose it over other art history texts because it had an extensive chapter on ancient art.
As for the assignments...my son and I completed the first fine arts assignment (we are doing week 4 first) with no trouble at all.

Hi there,
I'm glad that you were able to figure it out, and sorry I wasn't prompt in answering you earlier. As you've discovered, I have been unable to find an adequate replacement that covers just that one slice of art history. Of course, there is also The Story of Painting by Sister Wendy that TOG uses extensively.

Blessings,

I will proclaim the name of the Lord.
Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"
