I'm putting together my first lapbook (Y1U1), and I have a question. Do you print out the pages from the CD onto regular white paper? Cardstock? colored paper?

Ann,

We print our lapbook pages on colored paper. The cardstock would make your lapbook so heavy and thick. The colored paper works great. My daughter looks at the layout page that comes with the directions and decides what color she wants each item to be. Then she feeds the paper into the printer and I hit "print". It's very quick and easy and then you just pull out the one you need each week to tie in with your lessons.

Enjoy!

That makes sense. Can you see to write on that colored paper, or do you just use light colors?

Ann,

We haven't had any trouble with the colors being too dark. We use colored printer paper. One of our lapbooks uses yellow folders as the base and has bright blue, orange, red and yellow paper for all of the mini books. If it's too dark to write on the colored paper, you can just line it with white paper for the inside, writing portion. A few times we printed our writing part and glued that in. There's no correct way to do it, so just have fun with it.

Blessings,
Eia

Good ideas. I probably am thinking too much, and need to just get printing and folding!
Thanks for the quick and detailed input.
