We got pretty interested in mask making while working on our Greek mask and I found that Dick Blick (art supplies) has a whole page of mask making supplies.

There are a couple of things that might prove helpful in going through TOG. I've been working on year two and there are at least 3 more mask making projects there.

First, the have a face you can mold a mask on:

I did find some sites on making life mask but all of those used plaster of paris which I deemed a bit too risky to use on a face.

They also had some cultural bisque masks. In particular a Mayan and Egyptian one that would have been fun to have when we had done those cultures:

"One of the major flaws in some forms of reader-response criticism is that they tend to ignore the compact between author and audience, overlook that the author had some purpose and information to convey when he wrote the document, and assume that it is the reader who can and must decide what sorts of things, including what sort of meaning, one can derive from a text."
