I have a question about the Fine Arts area.

I have grammar level children and as I am going through my Teacher's notes I am finding a Fine Arts study of the elements and principles of design. In some weeks it is in with rhetoric stuff (week 3, p.37)and in other weeks it seems to be in between levels (week 4, p.31 - a few paragraphs before Creation booklets for young children)and(week 6, p.31 right before the Grammar Bible survey discussion).

My question is: Is this Fine Arts study supposed to be for all age levels? The only Art books I see are on the Rhetoric list. However,
if the art study is not for all ages, then the Teacher's Notes seem to skip around to different levels and I am a bit confused.

Any input would be welcome.

Thanks!
:-) Kristi

Hi Kristi,
Well, the principles of design are meant for any learning level that the teacher decides upon. The rhetoric students will have reading assignments (and sometimes dialectic) from various books that the younger levels don't have, but they can do the card suggested.

From week to week, this section is always under fine arts in the Teacher's Notes, which is always right before the Bible/Church History discussion. In some weeks, the elements of design is the only thing in this section of the Teacher's Notes, but other times there is more information. The order isn't necessarily the same from week to week.

Hope this clears it up for you...

Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"
