Did anyone use this learn and do color?

I used this book earlier this year. I had 3 of my children using it (ages 3,5,7 at that time). We did not do the entire book as it got beyond what I felt they needed to know at that age. They learned the colors of the rainbow, primary and secondary colors. I think we also did the tertiary (?) colors. We mixed primary colors of paint to "see" how it worked - also did the project with the colored transparencies to see the mixing of colors. My children enjoyed it, especially because they got to paint so often.

Yes, I had a similar question. Does the book simply deal with color mixing and various ways of presenting them? Do you think it would be easy to substitute another book to teach the same concepts?

I'd say that "yes," the book deals primarily with mixing, presenting, and identifying the various color schemes. And, "yes," you could easily substitute with something else.
