does your library do loans within its own county system? Mine does, and I can request them to be sent over, they charge me .25 each book.

I believe they are mostly interchangable, but I know for me...looking through the actual curr. and seeing which worksheets were there for which books helped me decide what to purchase. I will be starting next week, so I haven't actually used it yet- anyone please correct me if I am wrong, but I did look through the booklist and considered that some may be used more as 'spines', a book you rely on to go back to again and again. For year 1, I decided that the interlink encyclopedia looked like a spine- it is listed as used "many" weeks, I looked through and saw several books on jewish customs, I decided to purchase two for my LG kids, get one at the library, and purchase one that can be used with several levels, but I did not purchase all the books listed for that subject. The book list was really helpful in showing how many weeks a book is used, then I could decide if I want to substitute. I did not purchase any anciant egypt books, because our library has many even if not the exact book listed, and I have two at home- I did get a literature selection since the worksheet goes with it.

was that at all helpful, or did I confuse you more?

blessings on your adventure,

Call your library and ask about Inter Library Loan. Most, if not all, libraries offer this and can get you nearly any book you want. Some at a cost, some with limited renewal (bad for books used 3-4 weeks) and some other restrictions. Ours is GREAT!!! It's a HUGE system. I can go on-line, look for my books, click "place hold" and where I want it sent (my branch!) and in a day or two I get an email saying it's ready to be picked up! No fees, and I can renew them often on-line as well.

We did buy many of the books that we would use over and over. And I had several on my shelf already. But I would definitely check ILL first!!
