Which magazines do you subscribe to that you feel are really valuable? I didn't want to spend money on a subscription to a magazine that didn't really make an impact. I really don't feel qualified to make the decision since we've only been homeschooling for 2 weeks Thanks for your help.

I have really enjoyed "The Old Schoolhouse". The articles are incredible -- they are full of good, sound information and encouragement.

It usually takes me quite a few "sittings" to get through the magazine. (It's that full...)

I feel it's worth keeping as reference material so I've purchased some plastic magazine holders to keep them organized by year.

I second that! TOS is a wonderful magazine. I've gotten quite a few homeschooling mags over the years and that is the only one I have kept a subscription to.

If you're truly curious about any magazine, most reputable companies will send you a sample issue if you request via a quick email or phone call. I've saved a lot of money that way! lol

If you're looking for general godly encouragement in motherhood, consider Above Rubies. Just google it.

About the only one that I consistently take the time to read is World. It's a Christian news magazine (think Newsweek).
