I am just starting year one of TOG with my children. I am so totally overwhelmed at how to begin organizing into Homeschool Tracker. I have read all of the "how to" advice. Does someone have an LP for year one that they can share?

Thanks!

Cynthia,

I can relate. The first year I used HST+, I was somewhat overwhelmed! Due to copyright law, however, we cannot share Tapestry lesson plans at this time. When you think about it, that makes sense. After all, in a lesson plan would be each and every resource title, the pages assigned each week, and all the other assignments -- all of that is protected under copyright.

Having said that, there are a couple of other threads that may helpful. Here's one: Thread 1

Also, if you have specific questions, post them here.

Blessings,
Monica

Hi! This is the easy way I am using, but it is not specific. I just want it for grades. I figure either you are using the yellow sheets to see WHAT they should read or you are like me and type up your own list. I go into my history course, which for me is 19th century world history. I have the activites of reading, questions/charts, maps, timelines, discussion and test. For everything except the test I go in under teacher and lesson plans, then I hit add. Then I have under 19th century I put reading as the activity I go down and hit the copy button. I do auto incriment buton and under the leading text I do custom and put week. Then I have it go from 1 to ending with 36 and then I hit begin copy. So I have 36 assignemnts labeled reading numbered week 1 to week 36. I then do the same for maps, discussion, etc. It is fast and very easy, but not specific. No one is allowed to share their specific HST lessons with you as it violates copyright. If you felt like you NEEDED to be specific, then it would be fairly easy each week to then go in and list the reading assignments in the lesson plan week 3 you created or write map of Rome in the map one you created, etc. Does that help?
